Yeah, I look forward to an explanation of why a training mission is following the Potomac River next to the Reagan airport.

Seemingly this corridor is well known for having heavy air traffic. I'm guessing military helicopters don't have voice recorders. They were notified of the plane and the crew told ATC that they had the plane in sight and would maintain visual separation. Either they were looking at the wrong thing, or badly misjudged the distance, or perhaps had a catastrophic loss of attention. If there was a voice recorder the last minute might tell us which...
Damn, passenger plane flying normal stabilized approach is hit by an Army National Guard "Gold Top" UH60 or VH60 helicopter on a training exercise.

I prefer to call it "vigorous adventuring". A couple of weeks back, the dogs and I were on an extended trek during that polar vortex storm that hit and wilderness camped throughout it.
Idk but that sounds awesome to me.

I actually do stupid stuff, BoP, like mountain biking in the middle of nowhere where it could take hours for someone to carry me out, or for me to walk out, not to mention some of the planes we fly can easily cut a limb down to the bone, so I think one of those in my go-bag for emergencies is a good idea.

This just made me go through my go-bag and car first aid kit and restock. Lot's of old crap in there that was way past it's shelf life.

Meanwhile, we’ll be moving on to “The Sworn Sword,” the second tale of Dunk & Egg. And once I finish THE WINDS OF WINTER, I will need to get hopping on “The Village Hero,” and all the other tales that await the lads.

I used HemCon first, Combat gauze is made with quick clot and can cause thermal tissue damage because of the heat it generated. but I carried it too, as well as straight up quick clot. Remember the first step in TCCC is to return fire with aimed precise fire. Never came across a GSW that I could treat with a tampon.
