Oh man, I had to resort to the .75x speed setting to watch that one, he was SO wired, and he sounds perfectly normal now!

I was watching the trees in the background sway to see if the video had been artificially sped up.

I only made it 7 seconds before I noped out.
I don’t blame you, but you can change the playback speed on YouTube.

@RogueSix

One's naiveté is another's cynicism...

GN has a more than a decade long flawless track record of standing up for consumers and its viewers.

If you can't see that, I understand why you falsely perceive the viewers responses that they trust their integrity in their work as naiveté.

IMHO, I'm pretty certain the reality is that you are the one who falls hard into cynicism.

But I get where you're coming, and were I also as ignorant or as misinformed as you are about their work, I could've shared that flawed perception too considering the overarching context of modern society/culture and "looking out for #1" at the expense of all else.

How about rather than thread crapping and trying to bulldoze you point, you just accept the fact that some people disagree with you and move on? I know.. a hard route to take, but some are actually able to think differently than you and wow, its ok.

(and I fully expect that this will also be replied to in some acidic fashion, but thats the internet for you)

Nope . I have no problem with other opinions but I just find it incredibly funny and naive when people seriously believe that any of those YT clowns is doing this "for the people". LOL. GN is a business like any other. They are just really good at marketing and making it look like it is "for the consumer".
That is their business model, but behind the scenes, there is just the same interests and ad money at play like at all other of these shitfluencer venues. Don't let a friendly face and the "bro talk" fool ya, people. Everything is only about the business and the money. Just how it is.

I prefer GN, lost interest with LTT awhile back for some of the reasons listed in this thread among other things. I did watch Linus's response there, I felt like most of it was just blowing sunshine up all our dresses.

But I do think GN has made some mistakes lately, and the cherry picking comments WAY out of context under the guise of "journalism" is extremely disappointing and pretty concerning. I'm not sure what's going on there, not that I care that much anyway beyond making a post like this.

I particularly enjoyed his weasel words when it came to the recent Honey debacle.
Not referring to the harassed honey he employed.

I stopped watching Linus when he sold his sold to corporations for quick buck on the backs of viewers and he never looked back. The guy and his brand are slime from all I remember and still see.

Gamers Nexus however has made a history of standing UP for the consumer and its viewers and rallying behind making the world we live in better, regardless of the fallout that may hit them.

Do I care if the two camps can agree, nope, as my views on one is chalk and salt.

This is exactly why I unsubbed Linus. His channel just got way too cheesy with heavy sponsor focus, while GN's interests has always been towards the consumer
