The answer to that is some people do that some don't. They can also be stored on Twitch, which you don't see a lot, but does exist.

Twitch gives you 90 days of free storage which is pretty nice.
Streaming 8 hours a day at 1080p... that's a lot of data.

Popular streamers don't like people digging through their old streams looking for damaging out-of-context clips is the reason most don't leave those full vods publicly accessible.

You mean does the recording of the stream get transferred to YT? Sometimes. Or are you asking if the person also streams on YouTube? Most streamers I've seen tend to do one or the other. As for the possibility of watching the recording on YT, I'm interested in interacting with the streamer a lot of the time. So, yeah recordings don't work.

At the same time, they want to block fake or duplicate accounts just there to cause trouble, and those almost always use easy to acquire but rarely checked numbers. If you really want Twitch, you'll use your actual number. Turns out you and I don't really want it.
I know you are right, Beamer. It is just annoying. I do enjoy occasionally watching streamers. I like to see people puzzle out how to play the factory games I love to play. And sometimes, help them. But yeah, they are right on the line from making me walk away. They require verification to whisper, but oddly not to buy the bits you can give to streamers. Shocking, eh? Plus it is annoying my Google Voice is good enough for Amazon, but not Twitch. *sigh*

I got 22 calls from unknown numbers on my cell phone in 2024. I'd like to keep it that way. Burner phones have monthly fees? So, how do the criminals keep the system from figuring out who they are? I'm assuming they can't pay cash to the cell company.
Twitch is owned by Amazon, so if you have an Amazon account, they should already have your number.
Yeah, I knew Amazon owned them. And Amazon has my Google Voice number. Which is fine. But for whatever reason that isn't sufficient for Twitch.

Well I was in the market for a new keyboard after some of my ~8-year-old Cooler Master Quickfire TK keycaps started to physically break. I went down a deep, dark rabbit hole of mechanical keyboards. I was hovering on the "place order" button for a Keychron V6 Max before deciding not to tempt the fates: I ended up googling whatever the current Cooler Master offerings are (the Quickfire is a great board, it just has a weird space bar size that makes replacing keycaps a problem) and ordering a CM MK770. It's smaller than I'd like (why the fuck are there so many tiny keyboards??? I want a big one!) but so far is a very sleek board and feels great to type on.

I was expecting it to be very easy to check Reddit for keyboard recommendations but jesus christ they somehow turned computer keyboards into some insane hobbyist domain. So many companies I've never even heard of recommended and so many marketing buzz words (double shot PBT caps! gasket mounts! BANANA SWITCHES!). I was even considering caving and getting a hall effect board at one point but the idea of spending $200 on a keyboard made me queasy.
Cooler Master doesn't even have a full size kb in their lineup anymore, but there are several companies that still make them..
I prefer a shorter kb, the TKL (ten-keyless) Keychron C3 Pro QMK (it's an Amazon exclusive) was on sale for $30 a year ago and I doubt you can find a cheaper better keyboard.

Keyboards aren't an insane hobbyist domain, they're a religion. Wink It all started when the Cherry switch patent expired.

Yes, If you want to keep the same number.
Here is how TracFone handles it You have 60 days from the day you go past due (aka your service end date) to add another service plan so you can keep your minutes.
That seems rather lenient,
their $10 dollar a month reupped every 90 days is $40 bucks a year.
https://www.tracfone.com/phone-service-plans

So, how do the criminals keep the system from figuring out who they are?
They walk into a convenience store, pay cash for a phone and minutes, then burn it when they're done.
Hence the name "burner phone", a mobile phone designed to be used temporarily and then disposed of or "burned" when no longer needed.

Did you read the article?
Because if you read it you would wash your towels more frequently than rarely.
It's not a question of whether the towel is dry or not, nor is it a question of how clean you think you are when you step out of the shower (but that is a huge part of it)

Showers make you slightly cleaner. You're still not clean. The human body is one of the dirtiest things in this world, and not the fun kind of dirty. We're walking bacteria and pathogen factories. And towels after two uses start to turn into cardboard and smell regardless of how well you clean in a shower. Two showers, three at an absolute maximum. Anything beyond that is vomit inducing to even consider.
