One More Game announces
SWAPMEAT, hoping you'll trust its word that
this upcoming third-person shooter is "totally normal." To prove the point, there's a
playtest underway for the next week, and you can request access though the
SWAPMEAT Website or directly
on Steam. To
help disprove the point, there's a new
gameplay trailer
showing that this version of "totally normal" involves blowing enemies to bits
and adding dismembered chunks of their bodies to your own as upgrades (like
Pickle Rick without the vegetable). In case this hasn't put you off your
food, there's a totally normal promotion for this
on Steam where you can win a box of actual meat. Here's more total
normalcy:
SWAPMEAT is a co-op roguelite third-person shooter where you
drop onto a series of increasingly challenging planets and engage in combat with
the unfriendly locals, swapping body parts with the alien weirdos you defeat.
Attach a wide swath of strange (and usually squishy) heads, legs and torsos to
your Meat Scientist suit, gaining powerful abilities to change up your play
style on the fly.
Loot defeated enemies for fresh meat to top off your HP and fine-tune your
arsenal of abilities as you face down the next wave of
weirdos.
