The game was good, albeit forgettable. It was out of my system the moment I put it down, unlike games like Mass Effect, KC: Deliverance, Severance (Blade of Darkness).
Speaking of the latter... That truly was the first Souls game. Too good for its time; the gamers weren't ready.

Oh I'm the total opposite. I love that they take the minimalist approach when it comes to their souls-like soundtracks. It's moody, atmospheric, and never draws attention to itself (except in boss battles). In the DS games there are sections where there is no music and it's just ambient sounds, and I love it. But I wouldn't say there is something wrong with you. Just a difference of opinion.

Elden Ring was pretty great. Souls like games were never my cup of tea, somehow Elden Ring made me appreciate the genre.
People do seem to love open worlds, I too would prefer they go back to the more condense Soulsborne style as I love those too. Either way I'm sure I'll get their next title as well.

Idem... I never finished Elden Ring, yet I can't get enough of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3.
