Cyberpunk 2077 Patched

A new patch is now available for Cyberpunk 2077, updating the sci-fi action RPG to version 2.2 on PC and consoles. This includes new content as well as tweaks and fixes, which is a little surprising after indications from CD PROJEKT RED that most of its developers were shifted to The Witcher 4 development. The Windows patch is available on GOG.com* and Steam, depending on where you bought the game. Among other things, this adds the chance that Keanu will call shotgun and be a scrub hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride. Here are details from this post:
With this patch you’ll be able to express yourself like never before — it includes over 100 new customization options for V, adds CrystalCoat™ compatibility for select vehicle brands, introduces a brand-new TWINTONE™ color scheme feature for CrystalCoat™-compatible vehicles, and more! Photo Mode also received a major overhaul with new camera options, aspect ratios, light sources and posable NPCs, just to name a few things!

Turns out this was too late in the game, when it's no longer possible to deviate from the path or trigger the expansion.

According to the internet this is impossible. I don't see anyone complaining about it either.
I started looking for a mod for you... should have started the other way around

Nah, it's possible sadly in the Panam ending. My last save is out in the desert before you do the final run, and you can't do any other quest activity or use the fast travel system, etc.

The game is open ended, no matter the mission, including the main final, you can keep going in the open world, and you can start the expansion at that point according to everything I've seen.
Seems like it would be a very popular complaint if that was not the case, and yet nobody else had mentioned such a possibility.

Edit: Ahh, I found it... the game is programed to take you back to the last save prior to that mission. Depending on the ending, it may even transfer current/future items back to that old save.
So yep, you locked yourself... I kind of wonder what even happens for you when the game doesn't find that file it's looking for. Curious if they programmed in a graceful fail or not.
You might be the only person in the world to have done this very niche scenario, where you do have A save file, just not the one the game needs.

Might be able to trick it into restoring from cloud like that person.
