Quite the non-sequitur here.

A = B therefore A = Z?

Lots missing steps you'd need to elaborate upon.

nothing good happens in life until you're rich.

When is the last time there was multi-statewide hunt and FBI involvement for someone who killed a random 7-11 clerk? Never. When is the last time you anyone bought an autobiography of a 7-11 clerk who worked three jobs until they died all poor.. never. Nobody cares about the poor, obviously because they are lazy and gross.

we only care about the poor when they stop being all poor and shit, until that happens nobody cares, and that's because being rich makes you a better person.

I think it's a true statement, not in reality, but the American mindset.

Pretty sure I didn't say that. Simply taking notice that for as long as "laws" have existed the people with money or in control (Kings, Emperors, Sultans, whatevers) have always received preferential treatment. Always been that way, doesn't seem likely to change any time soon.

ohhh I am not trying to put words in your mouth Mr. Tact, I am in agreement with you and Cutter. The rich always receive preferential treatment, therefor being rich makes you a better person.

Yeah but someone else might have heard of them. For example I did not connect the name but I definitely knew Ms Nakayama from her acting work.

Yes, it's a legitimate question.

Joe Schmoe gets murdered and you're lucky if the cops even show up. The rich and powerful get offed and you get a literal army of cops, federal agents, et al. all looking for the killer, posting taxpayer funded rewards, etc. I don't know how anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention fails to understand there are two very different realities as it applies to law and justice.

I'm not often in agreement with you, but on this one, 100%.

So, you'd feel better if the shoes sold for $200? Not sure I understand what your complaint is. For the person buying the shoes it is probably the equivalent (or less) of me spending $3,000 on a computer. Maybe not something I want to do every day, but not a major issue for me. But for someone having trouble paying their rent a crazy expenditure.

I eat honeycrisps several times a week. They are more often than not delicious, and you can tell pretty easily just by looking at them if they will be (much like you can do with granny smiths).

I think someone needs to explain to the Senator how 'buy low sell high' works. It's amazing how issues like this only ever come up with those in power when it personally affects them.

I've found that true of most apples these days. It's getting so I rarely even buy them anymore. Golden Delicious has always been my apple of choice but for a long time now they generally are no longer golden or delicious. Fortunately an Asian supermarket opened up about a 10 minute drive from me and they have excellent produce all around including golden and delicious Golden Delicious apples. Beyond that I'll never understand why we have such a limited variety in North America when there are over 7500 varieties of apples that exist. Whenever I travel I'm always on the lookout for an apple - or other fruit - variety I've never seen or tried before.

28 million for a pair of fucking shoes. And this is why the rich deserve to be executed. A new Red October is long overdue.

Your comment about apples is very interesting. I think it comes down to patenting a specific flavor of Apple and being apple to reproduce that. In other words, I'm guessing the reason comes down to, yes, money.

Maybe I've got a weird bias since I live in Washington, but I've always known Honeycrisp are seasonal unless you're okay with having one from the previous years crop. Maybe we keep all the good ones for ourselves and send the rest to other states... dunno. Either or, definitely a hard disagree with the article since I've yet to have a bad honeycrisp, a few that were mediocre or underripe but that was my fault for not paying attention.
