Yeah, I had no interest in this game at all (despite loving the first three movies) but I had a quick peek at the video gmanlives did on youtube and he mentioned that one of the guys who worked on the Riddick game (Escaper from Butcher's bay, great game!) also worked on this and it's giving me similar vibes.
Colour me interested.
Now we donce.

I'll try it, but only because it's on Gamepass.

The game looks like a VR game to me, with about as much depth. Unless the story is phenomenal, I can't imagine being blown away by these gameplay mechanics we've seen since time immemorial. I think it's time to realize that Stealth in games is dead. It's done too many times and I am personally not creative enough to see how it can evolve: adding realism will make it suck very hard (look at Stalker 2 for a glimpse of that), but keeping it as dumb and easy as we're used to keeps it incredible predictable and boring and shallow as a puddle.

This is the best spec listing I have ever seen. They tell you what the target frame rate is, the resolution, and whether it is using upscaling or not etc. Most of the time those PC requirements are next to useless because they don't tell you important details. By far the best PC Requirements I have ever seen.

Crazy specs, must be running on Potato Engine 7.0.
Actually it's id Tech. I think the hardware RT requimrent is because the game uses RTGI (ray traced global illumination) only, no software fallback.

I'm above min - barely - but below rec so this game is a hard pass for a few years until I upgrade. WTF are the PC reqs so steep when they can get it done on consoles no problem. I dread to think what the reqs are for the next TES.

Pretty insane to see what was the top of the line Intel CPU a few years ago is the minimum spec required. Hopefully the FSR frame gen mod will work on this to enable it for non RTX4000 users.

Odd spec requirements. It looks like they really want 32GB system ram to be safe and anything better than 12GB vram for 60fps non low settings. Maybe Nvidia will deign to sell gpu's with more ram in the 6000 series. If this game has built in RT via lumen in UE5, might explain things. CPU requirements are amusing, clearing showing the game hits the gpu the worst.

Hmm, on a more serious note, looks as though this won't be viable on the Deck. Shame. The only thing better than smacking around nazi choombas and cracking thousand year old tombs in the jungle, would be doing so while snuggled up in my coffin with a glass of thousand year old Jack...

Character models are stiff and unrealistic, and I enjoyed how the lips in the trailer don't quite match up with what the character is saying--looks like they invested heavily in the scenery. I'll definitely be waiting awhile on this one.
It is well known that I cannot err--and so, if you should happen across an error in anything I have written you can be absolutely sure that *I* did not write it!...;)

Preordered again, I am eager to tall everyone here how fucking W0kE, shitty, and buggy this hot mess is upon the very moment I can play it but, FML; looks like I am working on Monday, again, and not from home this time.

OK, we believe you, you're definitely not going to enjoy cracking thousand year old tombs in the middle of the jungle and are playing the game for research purposes only. Make sure to report back.

Here at Barad-Dur, we have quite a lot of thousand year old tombs (including mine), so that aspect of the game is not such a draw. But killing Nazis, those cheap, greasy pretenders to the throne? Cannot get enough of that, so me and the orcs will be picking this up on Day 1. Skull

Also, we already cooked and ate all the w0ke hobbits around here. So there's that.

Why a review embargo until 24 hours before release ? Seeing Bethesda being involved rises a serious red flag with me.

I won't be touching this until I see real gameplay from someone on twitch, I know machine games can deliver a first person game but I don't trust Tod and his goonies at Bethesda anymore.

The kicker is that this doesn't look any better than Shadow of the Tomb Raider did, and that only needed a 2080ti for ray tracing at 4K.

So it recommends an RTX 4090 for upscaled 4K via DLSS and frame generation? And that's just for a 60fps target. Ouch.

Barring the last two movies, I love all the Indy movies and I loved the Secret of Atlantis game. This I am having a hard time mustering any excitement about. This feels like some weird mashup of Tomb Raider and Myst.

RIP LucasArts

So 1 think I noticed is how bad the lips are to the dialog right at the start of the video. And most dialog in the video isn't shown coming from the mouth and where it does show it, it looks REALLY bad.
Also the more I listen to Troy Baker (the voice of Indy in this game) he is NOT the best choice of voice actors. He has moments where he is spot on, but many where he isn't. Toi me it's like the Avengers game that is clearly based on the movies,
but when you hear the characters speak they are no-where near their MCU counterparts. This wasn't an issue for me in the Guardians of the Galaxy game, but as a person who isn't an audiophile (I am when it comes to voices and movie music) it's very off putting.
