How about... and follow me here... convert SF into a good game first, then worry about total game conversions later. I know... I know.. you can't turn a fundamentally flawed, bad game into a good game short of re-writing it from the foundation up.

I, too, have not had any of the issues that others have had and have enjoyed my time in game immensely.The mutants kind of sucked but I shrugged and accepted that was what the game was. My Tavor X95 err "Fora-221" was doing a pretty good job of putting them down and I had plenty of medkits.

First off, I never had the plethora of issues most did. I recognize it was buggy, but was still having a blast.
That said... TODAY'S patch is INSANE. I've cranked everything up, removed all mods and INI tweaks, and I've not hitched, frozen, or even seen any graphical anomalies (yuk yuk) so far.
Now it's buttery smooth on maxxed out settings, and I don't even have a recent upgrade in my rig.
I'm surprised it only took them a few weeks to really get it to where it's at now. It's definitely worth a full-price buy, assuming there aren't any different OEM hardware issues that I happenchance didn't encounter.
I hope the mutant patch is significant. health was ridiculous, to where I downloaded a 50% patch and still could not tell if it helped. original stalker you could sell animal parts, here there is no reason to fight any of them unless story related or to explore an area. also doesn't help that you can get swarmed, LOL
