I'm a big supporter of these devs, and the original ones, and the ones that ended up at 4a and made metro 1-3, which are my own personal half life 3.

And I don't doubt this isn't true. Russia gets a lot more value out of spending on trolls than a shitty tank that the ukranians will blow up the second it shows itself near the front. People who take that money for this work suck ass. Authoritarian regimes and their proxies like Milo, Musk and Bannon love fueling fires like this and have done since gamergate.

But this game is pretty busted. Not unplaybale, though there are blockers! It's still great. A bit of a retro throwback. It's definitely ok to rant about it though if it was your big spend for the month and not get called a vatnik for your trouble. I got it on gamepass. I have the luxury of waiting for it to stop being broke, and possibly have it be on big discount, just like with those first games. It'd also only cost 4hrs of minimum wage in my country.

If I was some european who works his ass off for a fraction of my take home, and for who even getting regional pricing would still see this game as being like 2-3 days wages, I'd be pissed to.

I been saying it all along, the whole W0Ke DEI argument is Russian Psychological Operations, to force China into a video game ban, so that they can wage the war on gaming, like America waged the war on drugs.

I saw a screenshot of the Telegram spam DMs going around last week, they were offering I believe 80 rubles per negative review or forum post, etc.
