It's interesting reading the reddit GenZ sub right now. There's a huge topic about how other generations are blaming GenZ, and conservative GenZ men are explaining themselves.
The explanations are almost exclusively "you guys were mean to me and called me an incel, so I had to vote Trump."
It makes sense, right? If people actually listened to Trump's speeches, more than half of what he did was talk about how mean everyone was to him. It was an airing of grievances that made Festivus look amateur. And that's what so many young conservative men are doing.
What's at least a little heartening is that there is another popular topic that explains to them that your social media algorithms serve you more of the content you interact with, so if you tend to click on a lot of content discussing either "all men are garbage" or "this idiot said all men are garbage," you get sucked into a culture war that's really not happening outside of your social media feed.
At the same time, the men in there saying that women were mean to them so now they're taking women's rights are kind of proving that those men are garbage as they try to claim they're not garbage.
You're following a discussion between GenZ's on reddit why exactly? It sounds like you're fixated on a narrow, bitter bubble of the internet, one you admit doesn't reflect the real world. So how does this isolated 'culture war' -- one that, by your own admission, is mostly social media noise -- account for the landslide? Either it’s a fringe echo chamber, or it’s an influential movement; it can’t be both. I highly doubt you truly believe there is an army of 'incels' that caused the landslide. It just seems contradictory to point out that it’s a ‘war’ happening in isolated feeds while also implying it somehow determined the outcome of the election. And if that's not what you're implying, I guess you're just using a fringe echo chamber to shit on Trump voters in general. Yay?

I heard you man... as a collective we all bear some responsibility for where we are today. I voted, with my middle fingers. Did it help? I doubt it, but; did it even matter in the first place? I doubt it.

One forgotten aspect here is the loss of credibility and confidence if not outright derision the USA will face now from staunch allies that Trump snubbed and betrayed before.

No it was censorship and interference. One example is enough. Just like America has had enough of how far away the Dems have strayed. Your party literally hates America and self-loathes itself. You'll have me believe I should apologize for being born. I'd rather live differently.
Have strayed from what?
It wasn't really interference, it was them fearing that it was false information. It isn't the first time, and won't be the last time, that media sources try to avoid false information. After what happened with Clinton, they played it very safe. Too safe, I agree.
But, frankly, if Hunter Biden's laptop influenced your vote, you're [the royal "you"] a moron. An absolute moron. Hunter was never near the presidency, because Democrats have actual standards and believe in merit, and know that the children of presidents don't merit major positions in the White House (they also know reality TV stars don't, but that's a different story.) Hunter being a scumbag isn't really news, and if you voted due to it, well, you're a moron, right? I think we can all agree to that. It'd be like voting because Baron lives at home with his parents instead of in a dorm room.
Dude, the guy you're debating is sending out obvious racist, white-supremacist dog-whistles that the Democratic party is trying to make him apologize for being born (unsaid word: born white). Think about that for a moment and whether its even worth engaging with someone like that. My opinion, no one that far down the rabbit hole of nonsense will ever be persuaded by anything. Not logic, not reason, not facts. The only thing they want is to continue spewing their "I'm a victim!" propaganda without interruption or else they'll start crying "CENSORSHIP!"
Just proved my point. Don’t know a thing about me but bodily call me a racist because you’re an expert a reading between the lines apparently. Classic democratic tactic, just call the opposition racist and hopes it sticks.

When I read that story a few days ago, my immediate thought was that the doctors and hospitals would be sued for failing to provide aid under that Federal law, or for malpractice (like when she was sent home for "strep throat.") I know tort law isn't your specialty, but what do you think the likelihood is of that?
You're correct. Texas has been extremely, extremely specific and adamant that their law supercedes federal law. It's a damned-if-you-do situation.

They weren't afraid of getting in trouble. They were afraid of losing their careers.
The federal government has a law requiring doctors to give life saving aid in emergency rooms. Texas has very clearly stated that this does not supercede their abortion laws. A doctor rendering aid here would be committing a felony. They'd be fired. They'd never get insured again. And they'd have their license revoked. For someone they may not be able to save, and if they couldn't, they'd almost definitely have civil charges on top of the criminal.
Texas has created a situation where hospitals think they'll be sued, and doctors think they'll be charged felonies and sent to prison. That's not a doctor issue. That's a lawmaker issue.
