Racist ?
I'm full latino, but educated enough to hear a low intelligence lying scammer as Trump and recognize what he is, so ...
How he caused hundreds of thousands of deaths with his no clue management of Covid, Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, drinking bleach, and bright UV light up the ass total idiocies.
How he lied about the 2020 election, and staged an armed insurrection and enjoyed it on TV without intervening to stop the bloodshed: "no one died", he said recently and you can find the video easily.
How he treated his workforce all his life, not paying thousands and taking them to court for measly economic wins, a way of life.
How he robbed from a welfare fund, and other multiple scams (Trump University).
How he betrays left and right anyone at a whim, from world allies or NATO to faithful followers.
How he admires an fawns on dictators, wanting madly to be one, probably will if not curbed.
How he is deified in a cult like manner by dumb followers or those enriched in the chaos.
A multiple bankrupted felon instituting tariffs that are finally paid by americans as a cure all for the economy and his voters don't even understand that detail.
A sex predator and pedophile, barging in minors' vestuaries, pining for his daughter, Epstein's buddy, cheater of all his wives, burying a mother of his children in an unmarked patch of ground in one of his golf clubs to save ...
A "billionaire" eternally asking every dollar he can from his poor worshippers ...
But we are the deluded ones

The too simple people, who let their populist political group or rich religious leaders to decide for them.
One example, young male blacks and latins, systemically kept apart from a good education, the better to be duped and manipulated.
They believe that their wealthy masters care for them and not for the money they squeeze from them.

Most of Trump's voters are the poorly educated and mentally ill prepared to inform themselves properly, whose limited mentative capacities don't let them find the truth among all the blatantly idiotic propaganda and lying.

Trump is a cretin, a failed businessmen afloat by grifts, scams and unpayed bills, recognized as such the world over.
He would be a Putin or an Orban, but his mediocrity allows him to be just a clownish Lukashenko.
Only people as limited as him fail to see him for what he is, excepting those who benefit who smirk and applaud.
And the USA is already paying the price, and will for a generation for his stunted insecure personality that knows no sympathy for anyone but himself.
Beamer wrote on Nov 10, 2024, 17:02:95, not 93 -- but yeah. And it is why I was able to retire at 53 when I got laid off. Choosing a career with good salaries is always a solid decision -- in my case, Information Technology. But a good salary is just a start. You have to save, and a lot of people either don't or worse, can't. I was also aided by the fact I chose to remain single, without a wife or kids saving is a bit easier. But even that isn't good enough, you can get screwed by unfortunate timing. If I had been laid off in 2006, just before the housing/market crash I'd be a lot worse off than when I was laid off a decade later in 2016.
$33k in 93 is over $70k today.
Which is why compound interest is an important part of retirement, haha

That might be a bit harsh.-- in 2023 roughly 1/4 of the people in the US had a household income of under $50k, 15% under $35k. I was making $33k in 1995. When you are living paycheck to paycheck, worried about paying your bills, digging through all the nonsense to figure out what really is going on is not even close to making it onto your to-do list. And criticizing them for it, only pushes them further away from bothering to learn the truth. It is a problem without a simple solution, possibly without a solution at all.

Beamer wrote on Nov 8, 2024, 14:26:Yes, the S&P 500 is mostly the way to go. And yes, the stock market is straight up gambling. Anyone saying something different is either lying or doesn't know what they are talking about. That said, like gambling it is sometimes possible to "game the system", a bit. But you have to be smart (smarter than me), dedicated, responsive, and willing to take some risk.
The only genuinely smart investment is a low cost ETF that replicates the S&P, like VOO. Market goes up, you go up. No one has ever beaten the S&P in the long term.
That said, a lot of people really like gambling, and see the market as just more fun gambling.

Just a quick question for those with stage 10 TDS. Why are/were you okay with multiple indictments that were used against Trump that were based on lies and; for the most part; was ran out of the Oval Office? Why are/were you okay with the Biden administration to collude with media platforms to censor people? Why are/were you okay with this administration emboldening lies to de-platform, de-bank, and doxx people?
Maybe you forgot or are in denial, but this installed regime is what soft fascism looks like. Since we're ratcheting up the Hitler 2.0 rhetoric, it seems fair to ask again: if he was that bad before and didn't do all those things he was accused of, then why continue on the same logic? Doesn't make sense.
Speaking of fog and denial...

I'm not an investment guru, but I definitely pay closer attention to financial markets than most people and something which has become very clear is VERY few of the US population have any understanding of financial matters. All you have to do is look at the "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality which is far too prevalent to realize this. And understanding the stock market is above that, so yeah -- not many getting that far. One of my two sisters worked in finance at Intel over 25 years. She is smart and she handles her personal finances well (better than many). But she pretty much knows nothing about the stock market. I have on more than one occasion been surprised by how little she knows about how it works despite working in finance for almost 30 years.
I saw a poll yesterday that said that 75% of Republicans disagree that the stock market is at an all time high. If you voted Trump for your stocks, you're not thinking rationally. Also, you should be more focused on your wages and on the disparity between you and your CEO.
