There’s a variety of different things at different states inside of the game. Some things are a little bit more complete, like our environments are starting to come together in a really, really beautiful way. Some of the character models we’ve been iterating through so they’re coming together, but they’re not fully there yet. Our enemy models are still kind of a little bit in the early state, so we’re still iterating through and making those things land in a strong way. And a few of the items are still kind of coming online, so, it’s a little early to show you all of it as one piece. But as you’ve noticed, as many of you are familiar with, if you’re familiar with game development, all of these things are on track. They’re not all together, but when they all do come together, we really, really are looking forward to showing you what that looks like, especially in play.

Played this in the early 90's on an Apple computer. It will be interesting to see what the 'reboot' turns out to be.

It's the game mode I'm not fond of and it needs a twist to set it apart from the many others out there. I know they basically redesigned the game play from a PvE only after the game was mostly complete and it shows.Xeth Nyrrow wrote on Oct 28, 2024, 21:22:I enjoyed the play test for ARC Raiders. The visual atheistic and vibe of the environment was great. Making the NPC enemies all quirky robots is cool, and when their algorithms glitch out, it doesn't break the immersion for me (where as clunky monsters and humanoid NPCs are always lame to me). Gameplay is a bit slower, so are the gun battles, but I think that's a good thing and gives space for sneaky looting and solo players. I'm looking forward to the main release.
I have a feeling this is going to be, "Concord 2: The extraction shooter". People saying ARC Raiders completing a closed beta test being a reason for them making this video. It's possible though only had 2,100 players at peak. Also I thought Marathon was supposed to be out next year but this sounds like he's a ways out.
Extraction shooters have become the, "everyone is going it yet, everyone is burned out on it" like battle royale games were years ago. There needs to be a change to the game play that addresses the, "gear fear" aspect of these games to make them more mainstream.
