My initial taste in music was the sappy easy listening crap that my mom played in the car and my dad's eclectic tastes. Englebert Humperdinck, Neil Sedaka, Luciano Pavorotti, Placido Domingo, The Beatles, the Beach Boys, Harry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, Elton John, and lots of Doo-wop from the 50's. My grandma basically worshipped Elvis Presley, and she was my hero, so I learned to like him too. I actually developed a massive love of the Beatles on my own, and that lasted a good while. I started to branch out on my own with Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin but eventually became a metal head and I have never stopped. Being a DJ and a musician taught me a wide appreciation of basically every genre there is throughout every decade since the 60's.
"The assumption that animals are without rights, and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance, is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality."
