No Cosby suite? Now it's a s/he said, s/he said situation. I wonder what evidence he provides that not only says people lied in a lawsuit but that he talked to the right people in the know? It's a big enough company that he couldn't have all the info, and definitely not all of it correct. At least he says that Blizzard was still a hell hole of a place to be for some people which is part for the course in the gaming industry.

I will amend my Cosby Suite reference and remove it from my lingo then.

To his story, HR is NOT your friend. They are paid by the same payroll that pays the employees. They are forever Company First and therefore always biased. They practically exist as a tool for the corporation to root out people who speak out and keep them in check.

I'm reading through the Jason Shreier interview, and I had to reread one part. According to him, based on research and interviews with Blizzard employees, there never was a "Cosby Suite". Yet it was reported that it existed and that Blizzard employees used it to assault women during conventions. Compared to the hefty exposure that story got, the correction that he makes saying it was not true will be seen by virtually no one. That's pretty vile. Not only did it get apparently innocent people fired, but printing such inaccuracies makes it all the more likely that people who were actually being abused will be accused of lying. That kind of irresponsible reporting disgusts me. I sort of want to read his book, but I am sure that it will just piss me off. I wish all reporters were as diligent as he is.
