Civ 5 I think was OK, but 6 was my least played Civ game by far... with all the district restrictions and nonsense, but with AI that still just priorities blowing up your improvements [why can't this be a toggle FFS], it just wasn't enjoyable for me.
I used to love Civ....I could stay up for days with no sleep to finish a game, just complete absorption. As they simplified each one to appeal to a wider audience, they got just a little less immersive each time for me. Six was the one that finally stopped me playing, not sure why. But for sure I didn't like the cartoonish direction everything went in. I'll buy this, but I'll probably wait for a sale. Once upon a time, this would have been an insta-buy.

Ultra specs are LOL. It makes you wonder why they are so focused on graphical fidelity in a strategy game. Less time on cutting edge visuals, more time on depth of play guys.

What's wrong with scalability (down or up) if they can pull it off? This is the part of the magic of PC gaming, folks.

The game is basically doing the same thing as it did when Civ III was released in 2001......but now it *needs* 16GB of RAM, Core i5, and a 2060? I think Firaxis needs to invest in CivGPT to clean up that code base.

...when the new installment in the beloved strategy series arrives in February...
