Huh, weird you mention that as I'm giving serious thought to doing a new run through of Subnautica atm. I've been kinda' jonsing for some Subnautica. That or try going through Subzero once more. That just didn't have the same magic. I am, however, deep into 3 CRPGs though so I have a lot on my gaming plate atm.
Reinstalled it and started a new game recently myself. And I agree there was just something missing in Sub Zero; with one of the things being the wrecks you could explore. I love the mini-game of breaching a wreck, proceeding inside, and having your orientation go completely bonkers. Really ratchets up the sense of danger and panic, suddenly having no idea how you got so far inside and possibly not being able to get back out. Happened to me with the "horseshoe" wreck just the other night, even after I instituted my own life-saving protocol of repeatedly swimming farther and father in, then doubling back to memorize my route out. I've been tempted to try it on Hardcore, but still suffering PTSD from the last game I did hardcore on and stupidly died in. All that work.....then
pfft.
