Out of the Blue

It is with great sadness that I report that, at least for the time being, loonyboi has accepted a part-time position on Shacknews. Make no mistake, this is fallout from all the bad Internet mojo that's been floating around for some time now, and while there have been some promising developments lately, loony found himself unable to continue to work on the promise of being paid for his work in the future, because, as you can imagine, even if you are willing to accept such promises yourself, it's difficult to get people like grocers and landlords to likewise accept them. This is not the final word on this subject, as the door will remain open should we be able to return enough deposit bottles to satisfy those grocers and landlords, but sadly, for the time being we must bid a fond fondue to the first Blue's News employee, and send him off into "the world" with our best wishes.

Hey, is loonyboi taking his 'pile-o-stuff' with him or did I just miss the announcement of the winner?

But seriously, I'll miss loony and his secret messages hidden in the source code. (Oops I just let the cat out of the bag with that one. X|) Anyway, good luck with your new gig Jason.

BTW Has everyone who has offered donations bought a shirt? If not, I hate to say this but it rhymes with hippo$hits. If you did, I salute you for putting your money where your typing finger(s) is/are.

I just reread that last statement and realized how bad it sounds. But I'll leave it because it will either make you laugh or make you mad. The point I'm trying to make is merchandizing. I'd buy more BN stuff. If there was a tasteful line of BN merchandise those who wanted to could contribute monetarily without everyone having to pay a subscription. I realize it takes capital to do and it will not pay all the bills/salaries but every little bit helps.

IMHO - Darth Lorax
