Out of the Blue

With the arrival of autumn I mentioned to MrsBlue we should look into getting our COVID and flu shots. She doesn't mess around, and just like that we had appointments yesterday at the state-of-the-art medical facilities of our local WalMart. This was our first-ever experience with Inject-Safe Barrier Bandages, which I had never heard of before. The shots didn't hurt much, and these barriers are said to help, though my arm is pretty sore right now. But amid concerns about a more contagious COVID XEC variant this seems like a small price to pay. I didn't have much in the way of other side-effects, though I'm wondering if I ended up in a fever dream. I have this vague recollection of the Giants winning a football game and the first episode of a new DC Comics television series show being the best new thing I've seen on TV since Shogun. Something must have caused those hallucinations. It was probably the shots.

It was, however, fucking cheap and stupid of them to bring their cat camping with them.

Ah, Cutter's usual brand of "Everyone else is wrong and I am absolutely right in my judgement call".

Newflash:

Mrs. Burrito and I used to take our calico camping along with our dog. She loved going camping. She had been camping since she was a kitten. She was always at my wife's heels (rightfully so, she was was my wife's cat) and would even go on hikes along with us in her harness and leash. Curling up in either of our laps around the campfire was her favorite part. She'd purr so loud you could almost hear her in the next campsite over. She was happy and, guess what, never got lost! Funny that.

As we got older and migrated from a tent to an RV, she was happy as a clam to sleep in the sun on the dashboard or just watch the world and road roll by.

You absolutely can take your cat camping and I've met several cat campers in my travels and adventures.

So, once again, Cutter is wrong.
