It sounds like he wants to use AI to interpolate 30 frames instead of the 3-4 that DLSS currently does. Given that some folks lament the quality degradation under the current DLSS, it will be interesting to see how they manage to maintain image fidelity with Super DLSS.

Its Jensen, he is more then likely talking out of his ass again anyways.

Yes, he's just talking about DLSS.

More "AI" marketing pizzle. Next thing we will hear is that programming is no longer possible without mega-expensive AI.
It is well known that I cannot err--and so, if you should happen across an error in anything I have written you can be absolutely sure that *I* did not write it!...;)

Call me crazy, but the CEO of a company that has gone all in on AI saying that AI is essential to graphics isn't that convincing of an argument for me.

So much wasted compute power. As someone who turns off god rays and film grain and post processing and all that extra crap which obfuscates the actual work of the artists before I even start playing a game, I can say without exception, no AI is required to make games for me. Anyone investing effort on that front is wasting their time as far as I am concerned.
I should be coding.

I dunno we seem to have managed so far with actual artists… but whatever keep trying to sell that inevitable job replacer as a good thing.
I read it from a rendering standpoint, not an asset creation standpoint. Doesn't matter whether the assets themselves are created by AI or humans, they still must be rendered. Nvidia already uses deep learning in DLSS to get around a 4x improvement in framerate. Jensen wants to make that 32x.

Uh, I looked over the article again to make sure I read it right the first time, but as far as I can tell, that's not even remotely what he's talking about. He's talking about things like DLSS and Frame Generation, i.e. "work smarter, not harder" type technologies for graphics rendering. In these systems you still need all the same assets, so there's no effect on how many artists you need.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?
