Guarantee she got billeted out to some ass-end backwater post and will remain there until she is voluntold to retire.

I was enlisted Navy like she is. I was an E-5. Before demotion she was an E-8, a senior chief. They weren't officers but they sometimes did get a lighter sentence. That was 25 years ago so I don't know what has changed, but it probably has.

Were you an officer? I can't speak for the Navy, but in the Army when you fuck up, they make an example out of you, unless you're an officer, in which case, fuck it, whatever dude. From my perspective anyways as an enlisted Soldier.

Haha no. They banned that practice long before I was in. I'm remembering that the captain had enormous disciplinary power. He could confine you to quarters (either aboard ship or in the barracks), reduce your pay to half for up to 6 months, and put you on bread and water rations for 3 months. Trust me, you didn't want to be on bread and water and confined to quarters for 3 months. I had to stand watch over someone who had that punishment. That's before the Court Marshal, which you have you making little rocks out of big rocks in military prison for a long time. No parole and no appeal in military prisons.

Keelhauling? They don't do that anymore I assume.
