This is Intel 14nm all over again. Their only hope is that Lunar Lake is as efficient as they claim and the industry praises it, which I believe it might be. Hopefully Arrow Lake will deliver too whenever that ships. It would be amazing to keep x86-64 hardware/software compatiblity while approaching Apple M efficiency. I believe those are both on TSMC N4 though. Intel 20A is a bust and Intel 18A is maybe years away.

Intel is in extremely deep shit. Gelsinger, by his own words and admission, has bet the entire company on the 18A process. And now it turns out that the 18A process is complete garbage lol. Welp. Good luck, Intel. You're gonna need it.
