Asus RT-BE88U- A Proper Wi-Fi 7 Router that lacks the 6GHz band - Guru3D.
LOL, wtf.
Guru3D - How can it be a "proper" wifi 7 router if it's lacking the 6GHz band??
Asus - How in the bloody fuck are you charging $400 for a wifi 7 router that's lacking the 6GHz band??
I'm not saying there isn't a use-case or market for such a device, but the article title is ridiculous, as is Asus for bending you over for it. Markups on basic consumer routers have gotten
way out of hand.
The RT-BE88U is priced at $399, which positions it within the higher end of the market. However, its feature set and performance justify this cost.
No it damn-well doesn't, Guru3D. The article reads like an advertisement, like it was written and/or paid for by Asus, trying to spin the lack of 6GHz as a positive. Sure, maybe some people don't need it, but that's not even close to the same thing.
