it was hard enough to get a standard for WIFI, now you want a standard for car safety? Not in my lifetime.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Great that cars can communicate. It will certainly improve things for autonomous driving. Unfortunate that everyone else will have no clue what they are talking about while they are driving into pedestrians, bicyclists, motorbikes and other obstacles that cannot communicate with them.
In a vacuum it looks like a reasonable idea for car safety.
