Yeah I'm with you on this. I can't see anyone making that kind of money off a few weeks of mining and using $1500 worth of juice. I agree with your idea that there was maybe something more nefarious going on they don't want to admit to.

Yeah... Almost any given link Blue posts in the 'Rumor Mill' section of this site has more substantiation than this Tom's article. They're assuming this random lady isn't just making the whole thing up, or if it did happen, that she's not just dumb enough to believe whatever BS the guest(s) had spouted in response to being presented with the additional charge. You're not making $100k in three weeks unless you paid millions for your gear, and then it would cost a lot more than $1500 to run it that whole time... It's probably a cover for something else they were up to that they didn't want anyone looking into.
