Real questions are:
Are those settings with an upscaler?
How many tyranids on screen can they handle without dropping below 60fps?
Anyone knows what the engine is? Can we expect an ue5 stutter fest?
Upscaler? Good question I'm gonna assume no because they don't say they are so we can assume that they are not. If they were without saying so, they would be misleading people.
Space Marine 2 uses a modified World War Z engine which is their own proprietary engine. They call it "Swarm Engine." I have no idea how it performed with World War Z because I never played it. But if World War Z had no shader compilation stutter and no traversal stutter, then I would expect the same for Space Marine 2. Also a nearly complete game got leaked so there are videos of people playing it which you can use to judge if there are any stutters.
Ahh, didn't know about the engine, I played WWZ and it ran great, even on my old 1070ti. Obviously this is higher fidelity, but I'm not really worried about the swarm impact if that's the case.

BTW guys, Skill Up confirmed today in his review of the game that he was able to reach above 60 FPS. So there you have it, and he did mention that DLSS is goin to be available on release. So that will help even more.

I have a 24gb 4090 and a fast (but probably melting as we speak) CPU with lots of RAM. I generally set everything to max and see if it runs well. I couldn't tell you what my threshold of FPS is - I assume for me 'running well' is around 45-50 fps, but that is just a guess. I don't fret over numbers. Just whatever looks and feels right.

Even though I have a very beefy 4080 PC I might get this on PS5 oder Series X if it runs on 60fps there. Next-gen console PC ports were not great recently...

I'm more worried this game will play like a glorified tower defense game than anything else, ever since they announced the enemy are mindless zerg.
I thought Hollywood had hit rock buttom. Then this happened.

A Ryzen 7 5800x and a GTX 3070 only nets you max settings on 1080p?

That the max recommended setting. You cant be that dense and think the game wont got up to 4K resolution, right?

You know absolutely that it will support 4K.
He didn't say it won't support 4K, just that it says you'll only get 60fps at 1080p with those specs.
If those specs are right, then you definitely won't get 60fps at 4K.

Doesn't matter, to damn many people rage to hard over 60FPS. There is nothing wrong with that FPS games run perfectly fine at 60 FPS.

I honestly never understood all the whining about it. SMH!
60fps is not an unreasonable standard to ask for. A game can be very unpleasant to play if the FPS dips constantly, especially combined with bad frame timings causing even more stuttering. A 3070 does seem like it should be able to offer more, but then again, Nvidia have been constantly nerfing their budget offerings each generation

But the problem is everyone just cranks all the settings to max, and then complain that the game runs badly at 4K, when all they need to do is turn down a few settings that barely impact fidelity, but will give back more performance.

Don't worry about it, I'll post a video of it running on my i9 7060x that's almost seven years old. Sure I upgraded from the 2080ti SLI to that banned word... but I bet I at least get 30-45 FPS @ 4k MAXXED OUT TO SPACE!

Id have to turn some bells and whistles off. 1080 looks like a blurry mess these days. 1440 or bust!

Or it is surprise that those specs can't run 1440p at 60fps. Not surprising to me at this stage, I'm more interested in how good it really is at 1080p with those specs, min or recomended.
