voice actor's résumé that's prompted rampant speculation that Valve is working on a new
Half-Life project (thanks
VG247). This CV has reportedly since been edited to remove the reference
to codename "White Sands" that started this all, but you can't read it because the page now shows a "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" message due to all the hubbub. Since
nobody loves speculating about Valve rumors more that YouTuber Tyler McVicker,
here's his reaction video
making the case that this is the revelation of Half-Life 3. Here's the
description of the clip:
It’s time. It is finally time. These last few days have been filled with leaks and new information coming to light about Valve’s next single player game, codenamed HLX. All evidence, including datamined strings from CS2 and DOTA 2, along with accidental leaks from former developers on the game, point towards this game being Half-Life 3.

If you have a VR headset I would say that it borders on mind-blowing. Too bad that I was too focused on what it *wasn't* to fully enjoy it. Seriously, counting to 3 cannot be that difficult. I myself used to be able to do it.

Abiotic factor is interesting. It is one of the survival/crafting early access style games that seem to be all the rage. palworld, enshrouded, nightingale, saleblazers....

The excellent latest Prey game gave me all the Half-Life vibes I needed.
Then again, there is a pretty new survival adventure shooter game on Steam called Abiotic Factor that seems to be like Half-Life with a twist.
Plus: we all know that new Half-Life games will most likely be VR-only to push the Steam VR hardware sales.
I've been keeping an eye on new game releases like I always do, but beyond knowing that it exists I hadn't really heard anything about 'Abiotic Factor'. My attention span has been significantly lower as of late. I'm going to familiarize myself with it now.

Eh, the only time valve does something half-life related is to promote some other type of product. Orange box, then Steam VR. What will the next one be?
