Sounds like everything I would want from a sequel, so I'm in!
Hell yesh. I don't buy games anymore. 90% of my catalogue is freebies. Might buy this one though. Loved the previous ones from these guys.
Wreckfest is mostly aimed more at races like folk racing, or Finnish Jokkis racing, if you've ever watched any of that. There can be some banging around. The more extreme races can be like UK banger racing.
The focus is on beat up old cars, not shiny modern supercars.
Wreckfest does also have demolition derbys, figure 8 tracks, and that sort of thing, though.

It can be a little rough, depending on the kind of race. The focus is still on racing, except for the occasional demolition derby or figure 8 track etc. It isn't clear yet what modes will be in the sequel.
The physics are quite good.
There are mods for the original Wreckfest focused on completely clean racing.
It's made by the developers of the first 2 Flatout games, but with even more realistic physics etc. It's the same developers as the original Wreckfest.
They lost the rights to Flatout when their old publisher went under. The awful Flatout games after the first 2 are not their fault.
