I tried to find when Valve changed what their API showed for "security" and it made SteamDB much less accurate, but I can't.
I was thinking the same thing. Yeah, you save us a few seconds of ads, but you're almost guaranteeing that Steam is going to cripple their integrations in a way that will break all sorts of things.
