A post from Resident Evil on X has the news that a new Resident Evil game is in the works. This is not specifically called Resident Evil 9, and other details like a release window are not being discussed right now. Wario64 highlights what little Capcom has to say for now by quoting game director Koshi Nakanishi, who also directed Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: "It was really difficult to figure out what to do after 7. But I found it, and to be honest it feels substantial. I can't share any details just yet, but I hope you're excited for the day I can." Sorry Capcom, but your shenanigans with DRM, your over-reliance on MTX and rehashing old games, and your 'mods=piracy' stance have cost you any future sales from me. There are better developers who make better games on which I can spend my cash.
