Rising Deluxe Remaster Teaser Trailer is here with the news of the
return of Frank West in another updated version of the zombie-infested thriller.
It starts reminding us that the 2016 Remaster brought an HD version of the 2006
original to more platforms. Now word is the band is getting back together again.
Details are scant for now, but there's a look at some updated graphics, and this
tease:

2 eased up on the limit, enough to make it feel like you were under pressure still, but not TICK-TICK-TICK-OH NO THERE GOES ANOTHER SURVIOR-TICK. I got a few hours into 3, and it was fun, but other things strangled my interest at the time. Ain't touched 4 yet.
I wonder how the game would have fared, if the time limit mechanic was real loose at lower levels, and strict at the highest.

I remember that a lot of complaints about 1 and 2 were the time limits. I remember that a lot of complaints about 3 were the effective removal of time limits. (They were there, but almost inconsequential).

I didn't like the time pressure in these games. Yes, there were mods to stop the timers but the time pressure was a very important part of the game mechanics and then the game felt off to me. State of Decay 3 sounds like it will be more up my alley.

I vaguely recall playing the original one (which I think took place in a mall) but nothing about it stays with me today.

Have all the saga versions, never could maintain interest (and I truly love zombies) in any of them to get far.
