Out of the Blue

Well the weekend was full of game announcements, as expected. There's more on the way, as Ubisoft Forward June 2024 gets underway today at 3:00 pm EDT. And despite the flood of Steam Next Fest Demos that began a couple of weeks ago and continues into this morning, the Steam Next Fest June 2024 Edition has not actually even begun yet. That starts at 1:00 pm EDT. So the captain is keeping on the seatbelts light.

How many gamers would have loved it if Nvidia had the same rule when GPU's were impossible to find because of scalpers and miners. I'm going to guess over half.
It was to prevent people from flipping them for exorbitant prices when supply was short.
I sure as hell wouldn't. In order for nvidia to do that, they would somehow have to implement DRM for their hardware in order to make sure the person that bought it is using it. That brings up another question, how the hell does Tesla even know what you do with "your" vehicle after "buying" it without some sort of DRM built in? They just keep adding reasons never to "buy" anything from them. Ever.

Crazy, I know. Who could possibly mind running the risk of permanent, life altering consequences while also running the risk of becoming Bubba's bitch so they can be cheap?

Fuck him. Anyone that selfish deserves all the grief they should get. Absolutely call/report online Bylaw and the cops, that's what they get paid for anyway.

Yeah, it is a skill which requires some practice/experience. I have a buddy who has a Ford Econoline 350 Extended cargo van. Anyway, the first time I drove it felt very awkward, and parking was worse. But I was surprised how quickly I adjusted to it.

Y'all should try parking an F-550 dually sometime. That is an exercise in patience and spatial geometry.

Tesla Threatens Customer With $50,000 Fine If He Tries To Sell His Cybertruck That Doesn’t Fit In His New Parking Spot

Blaine Raddon reserved a Cybertruck after watching the vehicle’s launch online, but since he ordered the truck his living situation changed. He and his wife separated and he moved from a home with a garage into an apartment complex with tight parking slots.
Yeah, the Cyber trunk is like .03 inches wider, and less than an inch longer than my Raptor, 8 inches shorter tho... anyways, I can park my truck just fine, but then again, I am not a big ol bitch who can't park my truck. Man, if only his wife's mom hadn't kicked him out of their home.
As much as I don't want to come to the aid of a Cybertruck owner, I have to point out the article specifically states the apartment complex has "tight parking spaces". And certainly the size of parking spaces does vary a bit.

The photo provided shows only one side of the vehicle so we can't be certain the far side parking job compares equally to the side we can see. However, if we assume it is the same, than I would say you couldn't do a better job with your Raptor in a space that size.

They are only like six inches wider than a standard F-150 or Chevy 1500. The first thing is that you got to fold them mirrors in and park straight, expect your wheels to touch the lines on the parking spot on both sides, also a compact spot isn't going to work unless it has too, so... yeah. I can understand some people can be intimidated by the size, lots of people have a hard time parking a regular sized truck, and if they're use to driving a mini cooper or something, well they could get a little overwhelmed. I have had more than a few people drive my truck and totally give up when it came time to park it.

The Cybertruck is quite possibly one of the ugliest vehicles I've seen. It looks like the futuristic vehicles in 70s and 80s films.

Lately, I've been having TNG flashbacks with GPT. I ask simple questions, and instead of getting a simple "yes" or "no" or a yes or no with a brief reason, GPT wants to give the entire backstory, which prompts me to click the stop button, or as I like to call it, the "That's enough, Data" button or the "Picard" button.

Dogs. We do not deserve them yet, out of the deep well of graciousness and love within their hearts, they decided as an entire species that they wanted to be man's best friend for 15,000 years and counting.
