Atomfall Announced

Rebellion announces Atomfall, a survival/action game coming to PC, Game Pass, Xbox, and PlayStation next year. This is loosely based on the Windscale fire of 1957, described as the worst nuclear accident in the history of the United Kingdom. The game is an alternate history set five years after the disaster in a fictionalized exclusion zone. So, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Windscale maybe? Here's the Reveal Trailer and word:
A nuclear disaster has left an area of Britain in tatters. Atomfall, a new survival-action game, will see you explore, scavenge, craft, barter and fight your way through beautifully recreated scenery in search of answers.

A single player, survival-action game, Atomfall blends post-war Britain with Cold War paranoia, folk horror, and elements of classic British sci-fi like Day of the Triffids, Doctor Who and The Prisoner, to create an immersive and thrilling gameplay experience.

Set in the rolling British countryside with idyllic pubs, quaint villages, and red phone boxes it soon becomes clear that things are far from normal.

The UK government played down the events at the time, and reports on the fire were subject to heavy censorship, as Prime Minister Harold Macmillan feared the incident would harm British-American nuclear relations

But...but...but...the nuclear shills are constantly telling us how nuclear power is completely clean and safe.

That aside, it looks good, let's hope the gameplay is up to snuff.

Nuclear power generation is factually and demonstrably vastly safer to life and the environment than the next 5 sources of power generation combined. No worries though - the anti-nuclear propaganda has been extremely effective and it will never be used as an answer to power generation or climate change despite how obvious it is.

Ohh yea! They convinced the Germans very well on this fallacy. Now we pay high electricity rates due to all the green energy expansions and importing it from other countries in the EU bloc. Some of which are still coal burners btw. Thanks anti-nuclear energy crowd…
Rimmer: “Step up to Red Alert.”
Kryten: “Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb.”
