Neanderthals and Humans ... So Sad that people lack knowledge of science. Neanderthals are humans. We are Homo Sapiens.

Personally, the only recreational drugs I have used are alcohol, caffeine and sugar. I'll admit to a minor temptation to try marijuana, but I figure if I made it this far without, I probably shouldn't. At least not until I could actually get a medicinal gain from it.
That's the key for me. I have a very low tolerance as a result of my stroke and not being very much fun anymore. I typically have to split the gummies into 1/8ths. I take one, and as long as I have a pleasant reaction I might take another in a few hours. Haven't had a problem since

As someone with pretty severe mental health struggles I can attest that this can happen. I still do gummies. A lot. The benefits far outweigh the potential downsides for me. Of course I am neither young adult or female, so I completely fly in the face of the findings of this study.
It's a dosage issue. I bet most psychosis episodes are when people refrain from using for a while so the tolerance completely resets, then use too high a dose. And that the risks are higher for edibles as they hit harder once they hit and people may take too much thinking "heh, it's not working.".
Perfect recipe for a bad trip, aka "psychosis" as defined in that article.
Quote: "may experience a psychotic episode, which can involve hallucinations, delusions and paranoia."
Those who are prone to his just need to lower potency and dosage. This assessment is also backed up by the same study.
Quote: "High-potency cannabis has also become more common and has been found to double the risk of psychosis in young adults."
So... yeah, too high a dose = bad, duh, news at 10.
