Following the news leaking early, 2K Games officially announces Sid Meier's Civilization VII, saying it will be fully revealed in a showcase in August and an official launch for PC and consoles will come next year. Here's an Official Teaser Trailer for the new installment in the beloved turn-based strategy series that's caused more than a few sick days over the years after inadvertent all-nighters caused by its addictive one-more-turn gameplay. I still haven't been able to play Civ6 since they added that shitty launcher (or any other game using the 2K launcher). I know there are bypasses, but I can't be bothered because I have so many other games to play don't require me to jump through hoops. I just won't be buying their games anymore. I've only played one game of Civ6. I liked some of the concepts but they were not balanced well, and the AI seems worse than previous games. I had so many great people it wasn't funny. I launched the first rockets to the moon and Mars on the same turn by using the great scientists I had around.

I've been thinking about picking up Old World, I hear good things about it. Plus it's available on GOG, unlike Civ.
