Wonder if it’s the new H5N1 that the birds have? It’s not in the article or I skimmed it too fast and missed it. That shit is no joke when it finally transfers into humans. Has a 50/50 death chance in mice currently. It bodes not well for us.

And what worse is everyone blew it over COVID. A new pandemic will be ignored twice as hard now. But this one should be way more lethal and I think the only way people will actually pay attention to a pandemic is if people are dropping dead in the streets ala’The Stand Style. And by then it’s already too late.

I didn't think for a second that Chris was riffing on the Conan episode of Hot Ones, or that he was trying to top Conan by adding more toppings.
Rarely does the ice cream make an appearance.

I didn't actually watch it... just saw you mention him popping open bottles to add more and was reminded of the Conan episode.

Scargiver - is that the subtitle for Rebel Moon? If it is, I don't see how it could be worse. As bad, maybe, but not worse.

Rebel Moon scargiver is by far worse than Atlas......

at least Atlas doesn't spend 20 mins in slow-mo as people manually harvest wheat for an intergalactic fleet of space warships

OK I solved it.
We get a Star Trek: Lower Decks writer instead of a Star Trek: Discovery writer.
Then, I'm thinking Rick Moranis instead of J.Lo.

Killing Eve is a great show. Jodie Comer is beyond amazing as Villanelle, and watching Kim Bodnia's Konstantin deal with her shenanigans is a lot of fun.

As for Atlas, I agree that it wasn't a very good movie, but I didn't think it was so bad that I regretted spending the time watching it. I'd definitely put it in the "skip" column, but it certainly wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen.

I thought the first season of Killing Eve was pretty good, but it went off a quality cliff after that. It couldn't hold on to showrunners, and just became a horrible show with good acting to me.

Right now, Hacks is the biggest recommendation I had. The first season is flawless, the second season has a slow start but reaches the same heights, and the third season has one or two slow episodes in the middle but is also more or less at the same heights.

Thanks for the recommendation!

As for Killing Eve, let's not forget Fiona Shaw as Carolyn - I thought she really nailed that role (she's CBE and a long-time Royal Shakespeare Company actress).

The difference at least for me is that Conan was actually very funny when he did it. I don't find any of the copycats or "beautiful people" that funny personally.

A Star Trek: Discovery writer writing stuff for AI expert J.Lo?
I wonder if Netflix ran that idea through an AI to see if it was maybe a little bit stupid?

I was momentarily excited w/the mention of a 77 year old billionaire real estate investor visiting the Titanic in a submersible that has not even been built.
Could it be?

Warning, the WallStreetJournel article might make you nauseous https://archive.is/gYtQB
...subs are common accessories for yachts exceeding 150 feet. On the floor at Triton’s headquarters lies Pagoo, a $50 million submersible formerly owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. A one of a kind, it is fitted with a $40,000 Dale Chihuly sink.
