I've seen 4 episodes so far. I'd rate it about 7.5/10 so far. Pretty decent, but it's really nothing spectacular. A lot of the humor falls flat on it's face, but some of it is otherwise pretty well done and they nailed the atmosphere of the world.
I really liked the Maximus character, the actor really has range, his insecurities are tangible, and his storyline is probably the most interesting one of the lot.

Still not happy with the NCR in the show. Unless it’s mentioned in the next season as to why it turned out like it did.

Otherwise outstanding show!

I noticed some glaring continuity errors though. The scene in the bar where Goggins talks to his friend, the friend can be seen switching body positions back and fourth and not matching up to the previous angle. Once you see it you cannot unsee it.
Rimmer: “Step up to Red Alert.”
Kryten: “Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb.”

My only complaint was where are the giant scorpions? :)

No Super Mutants either except the brief shot of a large green hand sticking out from under a sheet on a gurney in the Enclave building and a wanted poster in the "Govermint" office. Hopefully they'll show up in the next season (as well as a live Deathclaw or two).
Hank walked by a Deathclaw skull at the end of episode 8 when he was wearing power armor.

just finished it, pretty dang good tv

Just finished binge watching it even went so far as to pay for ad free just to get dolby vision (f**king amazon pay walling the dam best HDR for my TV) and I loved it. My only complaint was where are the giant scorpions? As far as the female lead I have to say it was great IMHO because I made a female character in Fallout 4 and she kinda looked like her.

Agreed. It surpassed all of my expectations. They managed to be painstakingly faithful to the games in every conceivable way, while also telling a story that could only work as a TV series.

I wasn't sure that I was going to watch the rest of the first season yet, but I might watch episode 2 tonight. I'm glad you mentioned it; I thought it felt like this was made by fans too.

There are going to be people who don't like the show and that's okay. There are going to be people who hate the show; that's okay too. There are going to be people who hate the show because there's a woman and a black man in two lead roles. Believe it or not, that's okay too. Their view is kinda dumb, but it is okay anyway. All I care about is that we focus less on the culture war that rages around every single media property. Entertainment media doesn't need to be just another front in the culture war. Just ignore it. Don't participate. Enjoy the show; it might not be the best iteration of Fallout for you, but it is a clear first step past the nauseating pandering that was bound to have a short shelf life in Hollywood cinema and TV - the massive losses in profit due to piss poor writing and characters were going to bring this silliness to an end with or without you calling everyone a misogynist or a woke liberal. All it takes is for people to stop going to see garbage as it became painfully obvious in 2023 that this was happening. All of the incessant back and forth name-calling did nothing but raise your blood pressure. There will still be leftovers of the terrible writing and shameless pandering, but I think we are moving past it finally. You'll still do it of course, but maybe I can save a few people from having to buy high-blood pressure medicine. 😁

I binged all 8 episodes, the show was fricking awesome. People who are complaining need to be flushed down life's toilet!

So glad the next season has already been written and approved.

That's because people want things their way - like Burger King or The Backstreet Boys. For years they wouldn't permit the French impressionists into the major gallery showings, and when they held their own showings they were ridiculed by most. And that's held true for most artists on down the line. Even up to the modern era artists like Pollock, Rothko, et al, never really took off until after their death. Then all of a sudden they're geniuses and their work quintuples in value overnight. There's no right or wrong to any of it, just expectation and desire. And, if like the Rolling Stones, we can't always get what we want we get pissed off because getting what you need never really scratches that itch.
