I ended up re-watching the first episode of Fallout in another attempt to
draw in MrsBlue. I think my efforts in this area are not succeeding, which is
too bad. But it was a pleasure to watch it again, that's how well executed it
is, so I guess there's that. I'll just watch it on my own and if she ends up
taking an interest, I'll just go through it again.

2014's Godzilla wasn't bad. But when you start off a movie starring Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe and then switch to the guy from Kickass and "You got it dude" it was like thinking you were going to wake up to a 10 but in the morning she was a 2. In the dark. 😁 .
Also, the monster scenes were way too dark. If you thought the plot was contrived and nonsensical in the first I'd recommend that you stay far from the sequels. Or just fast forward to all of the monster bits. 😁

Wife and I were introduced by a friend who thought she'd like me, because I liked Star Trek like her. Worked out. I introduced her to Roger Corman movies, and she got me into Babylon 5. She is not generally a fan of horror, but she doesn't mind gore. She loved Game of Thrones.
We haven't started Fallout yet, but it's on our list.
FYI: Watched Godzilla 2014 the other night because it's the subject of this week's Film Sack podcast. I'm not a fan of the genre, and it's got plot holes, but it was a surprisingly good movie.

I only remember the first 2 Hellraisers. I know I saw 3 but I can't remember anything about that one. After that - who knows. Judging from clips I didn't miss much.

I love the horror genre. It is, far and away, my favorite genre.
Getting Mrs. Burrito to watch them was at times a tough sell one massive exception. Hellraiser. She was in it for Pinhead. So much so that the first two movies became staples of October viewing. She would watch any move in that series, no matter how bad, though she vastly preferred the ones featuring Doug Bradley.

Yes. Great show. The violence and gore is pretty insane - Game of Thrones worthy. Story is good enough that SO didn't bail. She hides under a throw blanket whenever gory stuff happens.
Probably the best show of 2024.
I used to have a girlfriend who would happily watch Saw, Hostel, and Hellraiser with me. I almost felt compelled to not be a complete asshole with her because those girls are rare. Almost. 😁

This might sound like an exaggeration but it's not. My ex-wife was hard-wired to hate anything I liked. ANYTHING. If I wanted her to watch a show with me I would have to somehow make her believe that it was her idea first and that I was only grudgingly following along. She didn't care much for sci-fi though so I doubt that there would ever have been a case where we watched Fallout together.
