Watching Michael Rapaport eat it as Knight Titus was fitting in so many ways.
The only other person that could have played that part would have been Martin Shkreli.

Ghoul and vault girl strong acting and characters. I'm certain to enjoy the rest of the series.

Just finished Blue Eyed Samurai, and am currently watching 3 body problem. Both shows are surprisingly good, though Blue Eye was kind of anticlimactic in the final episode. Since this is supposed to be an entirely new storyline in the Fallout universe, I'm not holding out much hope that it will be anywhere near as good as these "evaluations" claim, so my bar for this particular title is kind of low. Let's wait and see.

I know only too well how a good show can turn bad in no time flat. After watching Westworld go from one of the most interesting, smart, and unique shows on TV to something so terrible that it hurt my brain (all in the span between seasons 1 and 2), I will always be very careful in praising a new show still in production too highly. Having said that, the first episode of the Fallout series was better than I could have even hoped. I could nitpick a good deal of things, but overall it was about as faithful of a recreation of the Fallout universe while changing mediums and telling a new story as it could be. Standouts were the retro-future aesthetic from the game - it is perfect - and the music choices which cement the feeling that this is Fallout. The essence of Fallout is here in spades, and the sets, dialogue, camera work, casting, and acting are on point. There's a hundred ways this could all fall apart in the future, but I have practically no complaints about the pilot. If I were Siskel and Ebert, I would give it two thumbs up. If I gave scores out of 10, it would get an 8. But really, those means of grading are arbitrary and practically meaningless. I can simply say that I personally highly recommend at least the first episode to any Fallout fan, and sci-fi fans in general. The quirky tone might not be for you, but this is Fallout.

Oh, and for anyone worried that this would be your typical girlboss pandering that Hollywood spews out with distressing regularity (and what Amazon itself did with the awful 'Rings of Power'), trust me there is none of that here in the first episode. Our lead Lucy gets the shit beaten out of her and barely survives a physical altercation with a raider. Everything she is good at makes sense within the narrative, and she plays the role perfectly, faults, quirks, fears, and all. You will root for her, because she is a great character.

OK, no, but the opening for it was awesome. Which you can find here.

20 minutes till Fallout goes live on Prime. woohoo
snip lol spoiler?

(As Lucy prepares for her arranged marriage to a man from a nearby vault, she admits to being relieved to get the real thing “after 10 years of cousin stuff.”) Lucy is as fundamentally chipper as a Disney princess, though a bit hornier ... from the RS review

This sounds fantastic.

I never played the originals, for some reason they just passed me by. I've played the Bethesda-era ones, and New Vegas is comfortably the best - largely because it didn't have Bethesda writers/game designers.

For me, it was the original. But if we're talking about what easily would have the most mass appeal while still being awesome, definitely New Vegas.

i love the fallout series. I remember playing the demo from a magazine CD. This series better not suck.

NV is my favourite, followed by FO2.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Fallout 1 of course. There was nothing like it when it showed up - not even Wasteland. I was at a friend's place watching him play for a bit when he shot a guy with a sniper rifle and his target exploded. I went right out, bought, it took it home and played all night long. Setting, story, all the best. FO2 was good, but not great. FO3 was so-so. I think NV was overrated. I really wasn't enamored with the new Rome storyline it was better than 3 though. I'd go with FO4 as my second fave as the game world was pretty amazing and what you could build - especially with mods - was insane. FO4 is just immense. Even after several playthroughs I come across stuff I've never seen or done before.

I really wish Bethsoft hadn't wasted time on Shitfield as we'd have our new TES with a new FO following up before too long.

Fallout’s transition to TV starts with a bang (or three depending on how you’re counting). But even after the show emerges from the vault, the hits keep coming. That’s because unlike a lot of other video game adaptations that receive a thin veneer designed to appeal to fans of the source material, the essence of Fallout runs so deep throughout this series it could weather an atomic blast. Its characters are magnetic and its visuals are downright impressive. But most importantly, just like HBO’s The Last of Us, Fallout is more than just a video game adaptation. It’s a really good show in its own right – an apocalyptically good one at that.
It remains to be seen if the opinion the author of the review this snippet is taken from runs parallel to my own, but this blurb encapsulates all that most fans want, so I quoted it. I have seen multiple refernces to Westworld, and that could be a very good thing, but for the love of all that is holy and superman, PLEASE let that only be the original movie or season 1 of the show. As it is right now I don't know whether to be excited or dejected hearing that.
