Skull and Bones Sets Sail; Free Trial Available

Ubisoft announces the full availability of Skull and Bones, launching the pirate adventure for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. This is a day some thought might never arrive after all the delays following the game's announcement in 2017 for a 2018 launch. There's a Standard Edition and a Premium Edition, and access to the Premium Edition is included with a Ubisoft+ subscription. There is the chance to sample the game for free through a trial version that permits up to eight hours of play. The note about the free trial says it's for this weekend, but also says the offer expires on 1/1/2300, in which case Bones McCoy may end up checking out Skull and Bones. The previously released Launch Trailer shows how you can make your bones as a pirate. Here's what this brings to the boarding party:
ENGAGE IN THRILLING NAVAL COMBAT
Sail the lawless seas solo or team up with two other players to partake in shareable contracts and rewards.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR SHIP TO MATCH YOUR PLAYSTYLE
Craft and sail up to 10 different ships at launch, each with unique perks to match your own personal playstyle.

BECOME THE MOST INFAMOUS PIRATE KING
Face cutthroat pirate hunters, deadly sea monsters, unpredictable weather, dangerous rogue waves, supernatural threats, and more as you explore a vast open world.

I have been in one alpha and two betas and the game is the most trite and mediocre AAA garbage in a long time... hmm... or maybe not... Flopspoken, Aveum and GoLOLum haven't been that long ago Wink ... but anyway, I'd rather replay Black Flag a dozen times in a row than spend a single minute more in that Skull & Bones puddle of dung.

They need to put in some VERY hard work if they want to salvage that ship wreck. Their execution on their Year 1 plan needs to be flawless and on point. And even then... I doubt I will be checking back again before the Year 3 plan has been successfully executed because that's AT LEAST how long it will take to really get this wreck repaired and off the massive reef it has collided with. If ever.
