In reference to “Games-as-a-Service,” we simply plan to continually update the game for many years to come, just like the previous two Subnautica games. Think our Early Access update model, expanded. No season passes. No battle passes. No subscription.
I mean how could anyone complain about that right? Except if that was all that matters, then why make it 'live service' at all? Some of us aren't that easily placated. They aren't going to get a pass just by trying to be cute - frequent patches and ongoing support doesn't require it be a live service despite whatever shit they are shoveling.
