... ... ...
But beyond that, devs need to start supporting HMD's even if it's only treated like a different monitor with headtracking and nothing more. Playing a lot of games in VR is amazing even if you're still using a gamepad or a M/K to play it.

Absolutely !
Companies are so blind, they'll shoot both their feet and a hand.

This may sart changing as PrayDog's *automatic* VR injector for most Unreal 4 and 5 games progresses from its already released first beta.

That means that most of the work is already done, devs can just tweak it a little to make it full native too.

Gee, I wonder if that is because you can play Oculus, Steam VR, AND Quest games with the Quest headsets, and you can play ONLY PSVR2 games with the PSVR2. Not even PSVR games, ONLY the new ones.

Yep, great headset. One of the best out there. Also the shittiest game library bar none.

I own the PSVR2 and I can say 100% that you are spot on. The tech is amazing, Sony just needs to let people use it on PC to increase the install base. Enough people get it, you can then go "Oh hey, look at all these great games on PS5VR!"
I think the more likely response would be "Oh, I can use it with a PS5 too? That's cool I guess, but look at all these PCVR games I can play, in addition to free and modded ones!"

Not surprising because the PSVR2 software is not nearly good - Quest has a bunch of free social things like chat, 3D videos and other free experiences whereas PSVR2 is basically just a few free game demos on top of the games you've bought. Meta wants people to use their ecosystem and willing to take a loss for a while. Also it's difficult to argue against wireless even if the PSVR2 visuals are somewhat better wired.
