Subscribe to their black friday specials, catch up on stuff, then cancel when the prices go up, cheap way to do it. Maybe grab a month of one or two of whoever has the stuff you want to see that month. It's a pain, but that's the cheaper way to do it.

And some of the black friday deals have like $2/month streaming for a year so that works out just in time for the next black friday one. Sometimes one has to be prepared to make new accounts however.

(I'm talking here about TV streaming).

For game streaming, I'll stick to gamepass, and buying 2 or 3 years at a time with the xbox gold cards thing. I might get a month or two of ubi for this game, then it will be cheaper than buying it.

No to subscription and no to Denuvo. Anyway, it's Ubisoft.

This one was quickly sorted out.

I'm the opposite. I buy Ubisoft games (just wait a year and get them cheap). I'm steadfastly against streaming games.

Gamers need to send a strong message to developers: no to subscriptions. Do not pay for Ubisoft games.

That's because they assume they have you locked in and addicted to their Skinner box. They're done with the attraction phase and have moved on to the extraction phase. They'll mine every last dollar until the service collapses and then move on.

There used to be only one subscription with everything for $14.99. That is now $17.99, and they added a new $7.99 version with only older, standard editions of games (premium sub has the ultimate-whatevers with all DLC included).

I don't remember ever hearing of the price change. Just a few months ago, it was $14.99 when I subscribed to play and beat Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Me too. I get every Ubisoft game that I want for at least 75% off, usually within the year. I bought one of the 'Anno' city builders for a huge discount this past Xmas sale.

I'll just wait for them to dump their games on Gamepass since that's where most of them seem to end up within a year or two.
