Same. It's been my homie ever since Netscape went away. Or even before that. I use Developer Edition these days. It, along with uBlock Origin and SponsorBlock for Youtube, I can't imagine tolerating the internet full of ads.

Like how Adidas returned to Kanye West?

People don't like ads for their products showing up next to Nazi crap on a website owned by a guy who writes checks to child pornographers - it's not good business.

You think they're like wow Elon Musk is getting way more stable by the day, in 2 weeks this will all blow over?

Have you not been noticing the world?

Why did X have to go to Australian Parliament and try and explain why they violated their own policy to unban someone who was posting child pornography because Musk wanted him unbanned?
Dude was a right-wing nutjub and their excuse was he was posting child porn out of "outrage" so it was OK.
X cut him a check the same month.

Always been Firefox, always will be. The corporation is annoying and mismanaged but the foundation is decently run and we need a counter balance to utter Chrome domination that isn't Microsoft with its shitty Bing nonsense.

People still use chrome, good golly miss molly?!
My current browser of choice is Brave (with all the nonsense turned off). But I do have an up-to-date copy of Chrome because some stuff just works better in it -- the ESPN FFL site for instance. While the changes Chrome is making suck, they are not surprising. We can only hope it doesn't spread to all other browsers, or that some smart people figure out how to make ad blocking work in Manifest V3.

Used to be a Firefox guy, but they pissed me off somehow a couple of years ago. Brave has been very solid for me with very few problems. Would like to find something not Chrome which works as well as Chrome...

Long time Firefox user. Just works better, and has always had a good left margin vertical tab plugin, that I rely on.

Can't wait to get rid of system-wide Edge and use Firefox as the One Ring.
A Google-less portable Chronium-based browser will be the second option.

I replaced Chrome with Brave (which is also based on Chromium). You don't even need to install adblock in Brave. It blocked most of the Internet sh!t by default.

Glad to see the Firefox love on this site, sadly it's market share is around 3% according to some quick searching. I bounced around a few browsers but always came back to FF, especially when they were trying to help people understand the importance of net neutrality many years ago when that schmuck was trying to get it cancelled.

Chrome is officially dead to me, the last straw was when they switched to the ad tracking model and had the audacity to call it enhanced privacy a few months ago. I literally uninstalled it right on the spot and tried to tell a few friends but most don't really care sadly. Thankful to still have options like FF

Waiting for BoP to chime in about how he handcoded a Linux browser from scratch that blocks all ads.

Who has the time for that? Laugh2 Besides, we already have Lynx which is perfection. Who needs anything more?

I have been a loyal Firefox user since the first release in 2004. There have been some rough spots to it at times, and I have tried other browsers like Brave as secondary browsers, but I keep coming back to Firefox as my primary browser.

It boggles my mind that people even used Chrome in the first place. You're using a browser developed by an advertising company with deep privacy concerns and then complaining about ads and data harvesting? Get bent, you deserve it and more that is coming to you.
