For those wondering, the developers acknowledged the shader issue and is working on resolving it. This was posted on their Discord channel,

"We want to address the performance issues you've been having in the last hours on the RoboCop: Rogue City Demo. While this was unforeseen, please rest assured the teams over at TEYON are working on fixes as we write these lines, and we'll hopefully be able to stabilize the situation in the upcoming days. It would seem the source of the problem comes from shader compilation."

Uggh. Yeah, nasty. I hope they fix that. It's pretty obvious the demo is a beta, maybe even an alpha. Zoom toggle got stuck on me several times, and it would leave the zoom and night vision on for cut scenes.

There's potential there, but I'd have to wait for reviews of the final release or a better demo.

Well I am a big fan of the original movie and I really like Terminator Resistance. I'm in.

The demo has all the issues with nearly every Unreal Engine games. Now whenever I see the Unreal Engine in the title screen, I cringe. Horrible shader compilation stutter and the dread traversal stutter. This game has both. Ut also has in-engine cutscene stutter too. The trifecta.

Yeah. Kinda in that same boat, and not, at the same time? It does look odd, like it would have been amazing if it was that new on-rails arcade shooter at the arcade, like Time Crisis and such.. but nope. I have a feeling the movement will feel very similar to how the Terminators walked in the Space Hulk: Deathwing game, where they do kind of plod around, but you understand why.

Terminator Resistance was initially rough, but it got better as it went on and I was very happy with the final act. It was overall a good game with what I thought was actually a pretty good and well done story. I'll certainly give this an honest try.

And on a side note, I've been pretty happy with these non-AAA licensed titles lately. BSG Deadlock, Terminator Resistance, and Starship Troopers Terran Command were all pretty solid games
