If this rumor is really about a Far Cry game then it sounds very suspiciously like a The Division 2 relabeled project. Snowdrop engine (BTW, not sure if it's superior because there have been unresolved crash issues in TD2 for years), 'Sons of Truth' as the bad guys (The Division has the 'True Sons') and that timer mechanic sounds a lot more like a The Division 2 DLC than a Far Cry game.
Well, you could be right, but the article is so vague that it's hard to really tell at this point. It'd certainly be possible, but it could also just be some intended or unintended cross contamination inside the same mega corporation.
I haven't even gotten around to playing FC6 yet, it exhausted me to think about it.
Yeah, it could even be an intentional leak to see how people react to the timer mechanic. I find it slightly hard to believe that Ubi would pull that off in a main line title. A countdown timer sounds more like a gameplay variation that you would do for a DLC.
If this rumor/leak is really about Far Cry then it would also reaffirm a certain level of creative bankruptcy at UbiSoft. 'Sons of Truth' vs. 'True Sons' ... have they really run out of names for the bad guys? Or is this some kind of lame attempt to merge the franchises? Weird...
Finally, FC6 is better than its rep imo. It's probably a bad idea to play it when you are burned out on the Ubi formula but once the burnout has worn off then FC6 is pretty entertaining. My tip would be to play a female Dani in FC6 because of the v/o and to mitigate the stereotypical Hispanic gangsta trope.
The game is actually good fun once you get rolling, i.e. after you have conquered some territory and can move rather freely around the map. Airdropping never gets old (or it takes a pretty long time at least

) and there are plenty fun ways to wreak some serious havoc. It almost felt a little bit like Just Cause at times.
