With Update 2.0, we have completely redesigned the perks and skill trees to give you the freedom and flexibility to become the cyberpunk that you truly want to be. With a range of brand-new abilities that open up unique approaches to combat, stealth, hacking, and more, you’ll be able to take down your foes in exciting, creative ways that they won’t ever see coming!
Our vision for this new system was to have fewer, but way more impactful, perks for players to choose from. Instead of getting multiple low percentage increases to your damage, you will now get many opportunities to unlock completely different abilities that modify the way you play.

Yeah there are performance issues but it doesn't affect consoles and AMD users, the first of which I'm sure is a huge percentage of buyers, and the lack of depth isn't going to bother a lot of people, and if it does, they won't notice it right away anyways.
When I remember Cyberpunk 2077 I keep wondering how in the fuck is it possible that Bethesda gets a "pass" for Starfield, when CDProject RED got so much shit for CP2077, which was out of the box a 1000x better game than Starfield is at launch and is probably now going to be insanely good with 2.0 and this expansion.

400 hundred hours playtime since 1.02. Lot of fun playing basically any way that I wanted, with a huge variety of builds.
2.0? You either play 2.0 like Doom Eternal, or you'll be massively underpowered. Stealth has been gutted, front-loaded quickhack buffs are gone, the best bits of Cold-Blooded have been distributed so widely that few builds will gain the benefit of all of them.
Unless a tonne of the old perk functionality has been moved to the new cyberware, 2.0 represents a massive narrowing of viable playstyles. The marketing is "more ways to play," but the reality currently visible to us is quite the opposite.
Chasing fans of the anime seems to be the goal, here.

Looks pretty awesome, I'll be getting the DLC and trying to play through whatever level of bugginess on Day 1.![]()
