Tomorrow is the global launch of Early Access to Starfield for customers who
preordered the space RPG. This will occur at midnight UTC, which in the US is
today. Locally it will be 8:00 pm EDT. Here's hoping there's a smooth launch.
There's a lot of attention and pressure on this game, and it would be great if
it works out without major problems. Guess it's a not so great sign of the times
that this is such a major concern. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

you fuckin n00b. the correct play was to take next friday off, THEN the following week; then you'd be able to play the whole week, not waste half a week off just waiting XD.

While they should certainly be arrested, that was a bit overly aggressive. In fact I am quite sure the same actions with your car towards a cop would land you an assault with a deadly weapon charge.

I have 20days of vacation left to use before December. So thankfully I’m off for two weeks starting Saturday afternoon. Damned good timing!

Being nowhere close to finishing BG3 and wanting to start another Cyberpunk playthrough means I will still probably hold off the 3 months I was expecting to - based on what I presumed to be due to bugs but ends up being just not enough hours in the day - but knowing that they FINALLY released a good 1.0 is a great sign.

1am my time the game is available. However when I get up at 5am its off to work till 2pm, then come home, decrypt the files then I can play. And yeah, whatever is wrong with the game, so be it.
Yes I bent the rules I go by of not preordering. I justify it to myself by saying that I'm going to play it anyway, I like the games setting, I like Bethesda's past games IE: Skyrim and Fallout 4. And I want to be on the cutting edge of this one. So come tomorrow afternoon I will be hopefully giving it a good start.

Killer Nerds?
Looking forward to 60 FPS cap, NPC pathfinding issues, not being able to jump while moving up or down a slope, awkward settlement construction ala Fallout 4 and 76, hearing the exact same lines of flavor dialogue spoken by different voice actors (this wasn't as bad in Fallout 4 as Skyrim though) and an atrocious UX experience.
I'm not joking. I actually am looking forward to it. I'm sure it will be a fun universe to explore and I can't wait, despite all the annoyances it will surely have.
