A fact sheet on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Website indicates a delay to GSC Game World's first-person shooter sequel into 2024 (thanks Wccftech). The previous word was that the irradiated first-person shooter sequel would finally arrive this year. According to the fact sheet the launch is pushed out to Q1 of next year:

S.TA.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases on PC and Xbox Series X/S in QI 2024. The game will be available on Game Pass day one, and pre-orders are opened on our website, as well as on Steam and GOG. Pre-order of physical editions available on official website

I fear the same. From the footage we have seen thus far, I worry that what we will be receiving will be a scripted, linear FPS, and not the mod-friendly, open world STALKER we all know and love.
