Yeah, it's a really cool game and I got all my Achievements within 3 or 4 weeks.
But iirc once they added the Arena they started having issues and were patching, at least once a month.
I've got so many edits, it takes me 20+ hours to reEdit the Regulation.bin, each patch.
As you said very stable which is why I'm having fun at 1.71 until I feel like updating.
